#this/that/&theother: Jack The Ripper, The North, Howard Devoto, Steve Schnee, The Vapors, Tony Fletcher, John Entwistle, Punk Noir Magazine ...
And on … Jack The Ripper is probably the world’s most famous serial killer, and there has been speculation about his identity since god was a lad. My mate Ronnie Burke recently drew my attention to the theory that he was from my home town. A milkman. Which is nice.
The North is a brilliant selection of social realist photographs from the aptly named John Bulmer. This picture is called The Lonely Pub.

@PaulBrazill from #StrayBullets. 'The place stank of death and disappointment. And kippers'. Gawd!’

And here is a Momus song about him …
While you’re over at You Tube, you could check Steve Schnee’s CD Junkie, especially if you’re interested in power pop./ new wave music. CD JUNKIE #281: THE VAPORS.
Tony Fletcher interviewed The Who’s John Entwistle back in 1996, and it’s now up at his newsletter. The Ox says of Keith Moon: "He was a poseur extraordinaire." Good stuff this.
There’s a load of new stuff up at Punk Noir Magazine, including a submission call, so check it out now, the funk soul brother.
And finally …
